With The BlackBerry Handheld, How I Can Add Or Delete Wireless Applications?

With the BlackBerry device software version 3.6 or later, you can wirelessly download third party applications Java applications using the BlackBerry Browser. You can then manage, execute and delete these applications using the Application Manager phones.

Two files are needed to wirelessly download a mobile device application for BlackBerry:

. Jad *:. An application descriptor that provides information on the use and the location of the cod

. * Cod File: compiled and packaged application code in a specific format for the BlackBerry

The BlackBerry Browser uses the. Jad application for discharge. This. Jad provides a URL for. Cod of the application. . Jad necessary. Cod files request can not be downloaded directly if one is not available .. jad

Adding applications

You can download and install third party applications on your device using various methods, including the BlackBerry App World or BlackBerry Desktop Software.

You can also add applications to the browser via a BlackBerry handheld:

1. Use the browser your handheld to identify applications for download. Applications for the BlackBerry handheld is available on the BlackBerry download website.

In the second browser, find the link to a program (. JAD file). Select the link to start the download and installation.

The browser will download third. JAD and display a dialog box with information on the application (such as name, vendor, version and size). Click Cancel to cancel the installation or downloading to continue.

The application manager will check that there is enough space on the handheld to install the program. If there is not enough space the unit will stop, otherwise the message display handheld when the installation is complete.

4. The handheld screen icon will appear the main program. Click on the icon to start the application.

Removing applications

If you want to remove third-party applications from the pocket:

In the first option, to see a list of all programs installed on the handheld, click Programs.

2. Click the Menu button and select Properties.

Note: Only optional third-party applications and provide the Delete option. You can not remove the need for BlackBerry applications from this screen.
