Motorola's Droid 3 Phone Review

Hard to believe that Motorola is in its third Droid, Droid and 3 (specifications) is the QWERTY slider equipped to date. Much of the technology in the entertainment business Droid X2 can be found on this phone also includes an HDMI display mode QHD mirror, dual-core processor, and 2.3 of Android. For us, the advanced user interface was one of his strengths, and a sliding QWERTY keyboard has been expanded to include a digital panel for quick text input. There are many things we can do with your smartphone in a short time, but we can say that it was a disappointment, and certainly a worthy successor to the Droid 2. However, we found a minor skin on the road, so we'll dive into in-depth review to find out what to emphasize in our separators.

Design

Droid Droid 3 3 revision has not yet witnessed, and it is not pocket-sized, but they are good quality Droid in the first place. The phone is almost twice as thick as the iPhone 4 and 3/8-inch longer good. Aesthetically, the middle half of the screen and QWERTY keyboard seems as if they were simply placed on top of each other, because the overall design fails to take into account the continuity. On the positive side, Motorola, fortified with the fifth row of the QWERTY number keys, which actually came to hand, and to minimize our use of the ALT key.

The phone has received an updated screen, displaying a 4-inch 960 x 540 pixels display QHD, who beat last year's 3.7-inch screen FWVGA. As X2 Droid, Droid offered a third of the screens First we had the pleasure of testing this year and 16 million colors made of games and movies are an experience quite brilliant. Velocity was there and we like Motorola hyperactive vibration haptic feedback through the interface. For the cameras, the phone has a VGA camera in front and 8-megapixel shooter with main video and 1080p LED flash.

In addition to the classic menu, Android, Home, Back, Search, and sensory feedback control of the bottom of the screen, the phone was minimal external controls, save the HDMI terminal in the mirror mode. Here we can connect it to HDMI HD video and watch all the action on screen, which is optimal for gaming and video. Phone features 1540mAh battery and comes without the MicroSD memory card. However, with 16GB of internal memory, which was about the norm.

Software and interface

One of the areas of telephony was excellent in its software, although the material has enabled us to fly through tasks. We are talking about a dual-core OMAP processor running at 1 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. Yes, it was a jet engine that processed DLNA / UPnP, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and play with your 3-D accelerometer motion. The phone also gave gingerbread Android 2.3 OS with Motorola's own custom user interface, and we give support to avoid infecting the Droid 3 MOTOBLUR with RAM suction.

While HTC Sense is a nice looking interface, the interface has been renewed three Droid a minimalist. Moving the page request to the application page or home screen to the main screen has given us the effect of the HTC Sense wheel, if the selection control is a bit more robust. There was also a greater versatility in our menu of applications with the ability to view all recent uploaded or Verizon wireless applications. A market for direct access to Android also accompanied the Applications menu, and a Leap HTC similar function has allowed us to hit the start button, while on the main page in order to minimize all pages to be disseminated more chic five to move quickly to our destination. While HTC Sense 3.0 3D and EVO 4G Sense wins the end-user interface, Droid Droid 3 and X2 watch.

Multimedia / Productivity / Internet

Games, movies, music, whatever smart was more than capable of bringing multimedia to the table. Update your phone worked perfectly widgets YouTube and the phone came preloaded with NFL Mobile, Nova, Slakcer Radio, Skype, Let's Golf 2, Citrix, City of identity, the Kindle, Blockbuster, Verizon V CAST and below. Unfortunately, 2 Let Nova Golf and were trial versions, but the Android Market has provided more than enough action for a phone to handle. For documents, Quickoffice gave us, and our overall Internet experience is identical to the X2 Droid. However, the phone crashed twice, while game time and we had big Gangsta remove the battery to restart. Some other programs had to be closed group, and if some applications are not very good with this phone.

Call quality / battery life

Call quality is Droid 3 to Verizon's 3G network was great. There was really nothing to complain about, because all calls were loud and clear without a hitch.

Battery life is another story, however, and was not as forgiving as the Droid X2. For waiting time, the phone lasted about a day and a half, but with increased use, it has failed to spend the day.

Camera

Motorola re-equipped the camera this year, increasing the sensor to an 8-megapixel shooter with video recording HD 1080p. Fast autofocus was also launched in the mix, the camera is not focused enough and highlight video could not be activated during recording. The best change is the camera Motorola Droid 3 is its interface, which offers a new intuitive interface of the past obsolete.

Photo samples are reported here seems strange, but this was the first condition of the camera we tested the droid. A flash of light at close range were large and low-light sensitivity of the camera was not actually too shabby. We only wish the camera has less noise and more definition, but this is not a perfect world (Look at the photo and video samples). HD movies looked even better than the stills, and is usually the opposite. Finally, Motorola has taken a step in the right direction on camera, Droid, even if it does not match the caliber of myTouch 4G scroll when it became even more images.

The last Droid is a formidable force. It is faster, the most capable to date with HDMI Droid mirror mode and the fifth number of keys on the large sliding QWERTY keyboard. The screen becomes a steroid injection, it stimulates a 4-inch QHD screen and the camera has been greatly improved. Great for Road Warrior, the phone is a good choice.

Not to mention the Android phone OS 2.3 and the UI and not MOTOBLUR stellar call quality. Battery life and stability of the CPU were our main concerns, such as the Motorola Droid 3 had problems remained stable for some applications, and could not take a whole day without a fee. But for the most part, its benefits outweigh its disadvantages, and that the phone lives among the top slider on the market for 3G phones.
