Samsung cell Phone Review

This Samsung cell phone review is dedicated to a model that we haven’t paid a lot of attention to, despite of the fact that it is certainly going to be one of the most successful Samsung models of the year 2010. This cell phone was announced this month and it shall be released on the market in the upcoming period. This Samsung cell phone review is for the Samsung i5500 Corby smart phone.

This cell phone offers support for both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (HSDA 900 / 1200) and it measures 108 x 56 x 12.3 mm in dimensions and it has a total weight of 102 grams. The greatest part of this cell phone is the TFT touch screen that covers almost the entire front side. This display measures 2.8 inches in diagonal and it comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels plus support for 256K colors. Thanks to the memory of the new Samsung Corby, you can save an unlimited number of contact entries and the cell phone can also store an unlimited number of dialed, received and missed calls. The internal memory of this cell phone is 100 MB but thanks to the microSD card slot, the memory of this cell phone can be extended to a maximum 16 GB.

Just like all the modern cell phone that popular manufacturers are releasing in our days, the Samsung i5500 Corby smart phone comes with features like included Wi-Fi which allows you to connect to the internet from wireless hotspots. You also get an integrated Bluetooth that makes files transfer between compatible phones a lot easier and a micro USB port. Taking pictures is not exactly the strongest point of this Samsung smart phone as the 2 MP camera will not be able to handle too much pressure. It can, however, take pictures at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.

In order for a smart phone to be able to run application, it must have a processor and a preloaded operating system. The Samsung i5500 Corby smart phone comes with a 600 MHz processor and the 2.1 version of the Android operating system. If you ever get tires of listening to the mp3 songs that you store on your phone, there is always the included stereo FM radio that you can benefit from. Not only that, but this phone also has included GPS with A-GPS support. The features and applications that come with this Samsung model are numerous.

There is the MP3 / WAV / eAAC+ audio player and the MP4/H.264/H.263 video player. There is also an included document viewer as I am sure you will need to work with Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents. With the included PDF viewed you can read Acrobat files. With this cell phone you can always use useful online applications such as YouTube broadcasting, Google Maps, Google Search or G-mail.
